A pool can become the place your family gathers on summer weekends and unwinds at the end of the day. For Dana and Bernie in East Troy, that backyard plan became a 20-by-40-foot lined pool with a shelf and stairs. Their February 2021 HomeAdvisor review praised the crews’ skill and schedule, along with coordination with concrete, electrical and fencing contacts.

“Our family LOVES this gorgous pool!”

This is one family’s past experience, not a promise about today’s pricing, included work or schedule. It does raise a useful planning question for East Troy and other Walworth County homeowners considering inground pool construction in East Troy: how will the pool plan and the work around it be coordinated?

Planning an inground pool in East Troy

  • Describe how you want to use the pool. A shelf or stairs may shape how the pool works for family time and relaxed summer evenings. Share the features you have in mind when discussing the layout.
  • Talk through yard fit and access. The proposed footprint is only part of the plan. Ask how access to the work area and surrounding yard conditions may affect the project.
  • Get the scope in writing. Ask which pool features and tasks are included in the quote, and which work—such as concrete, electrical or fencing—will be handled by others. Clarify who is responsible for communicating and coordinating among the parties.
  • Ask about the schedule directly. Wisconsin’s outdoor building season is limited, and each project needs planning and coordination. This fall, an early conversation can create time to plan for the coming season. Speak with Tom for current scheduling information; actual dates depend on the project and current availability.

Before the first conversation, gather your preferred layout, desired features and questions about site access. To discuss an estimate and next steps, contact Accurate Spa and Pool.
